What's Included
Full first fix and second fix wiring, a new consumer unit, testing of every circuit, an Electrical Installation Certificate, and making good the immediate area we've chased into — ready for a decorator, not decorated.
What Drives the Price
- Number of floors and overall floor area
- Whether the property is occupied during the work (occupied jobs take longer to work around)
- Construction type — solid walls generally mean more chasing than stud walls
- Plastering and redecoration are not included and are usually arranged separately
Partial Rewires
If only part of the property needs rewiring — one floor, an extension, a single problem circuit — this is priced individually rather than at a whole-house rate, typically from £400–£800 per circuit depending on scope and access.
